Aunt Roberta (IRE)

We are extremely excited and fortunate to have secured a filly by the champion sire and legendary racehorse Sea The Stars – called Aunt Roberta.

She was bred and raised in Ireland by one of Europe’s leading breeding operations, Airlie Stud.

Sea The Stars is literally one of the top 10 horses that has ever graced the turf and was a household name in 2009 when he won every single top race he contested.

From champion racehorse to extraordinary stallion, he made the transition from winning races to producing horses that did so.

He was the leading Irish-based sire by Group 1 winners in 2023 and has produced champions at different distances such as Baaeed over a miler, and .Stradivarius, who recently lit up the staying division winning the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot and the Goodwood Cup multiple times.

For one use of Sea The Stars as a stallion it costs £250,000 and the average price his yearlings sell for at public auction is £300,000 – his foals go for an average of £400,000 – we are very lcuky to get our hands on such potential!

Her dam (mother), Swizzle Stick, has produced two Group 1 winners, including Fifty Stars, who won £1.5 mill in prize-money in his career and won at the highest level in Australia.

She has the pedigree of an extremely durable and tough champion and we cant wait to get her on the track for trainer George Scott!

Father

Name: Sea The Stars

Dam: Cape Cross

Sea The Stars was the definitive racehorse and was considered by respected English ratings service Timeform as the joint-ninth best horse of all time on 140. For confirmed racing fans, this is alongside the likes of Dancing Brave, Shergar and Dubai Millennium. Sea The Stars had an iron constitution, having won a top-level race every month for six months during that astonishing summer of 2009. He has produced some of the best racehorses to grace the turf in the last few years in the shape of champion miler Baaeed, historic stayer Stradivarius as well as Epsom Derby and Oaks winners Harzand and Taghroodha. He was the leading sire (father) of three-year-olds in Europe in 2024, and has produced over 130 winners of Group (top) races in his lifetime. The cost to use him as a stallion is €250,000 so Kingsmoor members are very lucky indeed to have a runner by this legendary racehorse.

MOTHER

Name: Swizzle Stick

Dam: Sadler's Wells

Swizzle Stick is quickly making a name for herself as a mother of elite racehorses. She produced the extremely tough Fifty Stars, a full brother to our Aunt Roberta, who won and was placed in no fewer than 10 races at Group level. This included that Group 1 Australian Cup - a race over 2,000 metres (10 furlongs) at Flemington, the home of the Melbourne Cup in Australia. She has also produced the very smart Grade 1 novice hurdler Whiskey Sour, and Revolver, who won six of his nine starts on the Turf doe Sir Mark Prescott.

George Scott: Rising Star in British Horse Training:

The 36-year-old George Scott is a professional racehorse trainer based in Newmarket, one of the world’s most famous horse racing towns.

From his base at Eve Lodge Stables, George has built a thriving and increasingly successful operation known for developing young talent and delivering results on some of racing’s biggest stages.

A Breakout Year in 2024:
The year 2024 marked a major milestone for George and his team, achieving their best-ever season with 48 wins across the UK and abroad.

One standout performer was Isle of Jura, a horse that went unbeaten in five races. He swept a prestigious series of races in Bahrain, known as the “Triple Crown,” and went on to win twice more in Britain.

Most notably, Isle of Jura triumphed at the world-famous Royal Ascot meeting, winning a high-level race by an impressive margin.

Other horses in the stable also shone:

Seven Questions won a respected sprint race.

Phantom Flight and Watch My Tracer picked up important victories in special stakes races.

Prydwen had international success, bringing home a major win in Germany.

The promising young colt Bay City Roller remained undefeated and took home a prestigious race for two-year-olds.

Developing Talent – Young and Old:
George has built a reputation for successfully training both young horses and more experienced ones. His early breakthrough came with James Garfield, a speedy youngster who won a significant race early in George’s career. He’s also known for helping seasoned horses reach new levels of performance—Captain Kane, for example, was one of the most successful horses in the UK in 2022 with seven wins in a single season.

Foundations of Success:
George’s journey to becoming a respected trainer started with hands-on experience at some of the best stables in the business. He learned the ropes under top names like Paul Nicholls, Michael Bell, and Lady Cecil—gaining valuable knowledge and skills before setting up his own training business in late 2015.

His approachable personality, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence have all contributed to the rapid growth of his stable. And after the standout success of 2024, it’s clear that George Scott Racing is on a steep upward trajectory and that is music to the ears of Kingsmoor members!
