Narredu considering Quicker for longer

Kingsmoor trainer Malesh Narredu is considering running Quicker over further as he ponders his options for the four-year-old sprinter.

Quicker, who has won four races from 19 starts, has done all of his winning over five and six furlongs, but as a four-year-old Narredu is eyeing a step up in distance.

“He is more of a sprinter over six furlongs, and might extend to seven furlongs,” Narredu told Kingsmoor.

“As horses get older they tend to get more distance,”

“He has won his races over five and six furlongs. I’m hoping that as he is getting older, he might stretch out further.”

Narredu believes that Quicker, who is a son of  super stallion Speaking Of Which, is a horse built to last and welcomed any prospective Kingsmoor Club member to sign up for an experience of a lifetime.

“He is a genuine horse, is clean, sound horse and has had no issues, and for a person to buy a horse this is really important,” Narredu said.

I’m very happy to see Kingsmoor coming in to racing in India. We need somebody like this to continue and succeed. Buying horses in shares helps more people to come in to the sport and that can only be a good thing.”
